Witness one of Singapore’s major historical milestones 200 years ago, as told through the perspective of the first British Resident and Commandant of Singapore - William Farquhar. A poignant portrayal of life in colonial Singapore, ‘1819’ is the second animated short film in the Bicentennial Trilogy, and pays tribute to an often neglected figure of Singapore’s early story.

Travel back in time and be mesmerised by the discovery, myths, legends and fall of early Singapura, as told in the Sejarah Melayu (the Malay Annals) in this animated short film. A visual feast accompanied by an original music score, watch the reimagined stories of Singapore’s earliest history come to life. This is the first in a trilogy of short films for the Singapore Bicentennial, created by award-winning local animation studio Robot Playground Media.

Be sure to reserve your tickets early for this immersive experience that showcases key moments in Singapore's 700-year history.
